Machinima is the epitome of emergent game-play, created by users manoeuvring characters, environments and capturing the action on video in games and virtual worlds. A new hybrid of film-making game culture, it’s essentially film-making in your 3D games or virtual worlds in real time.
Web 2.0 has altered the terrain of media business, notably consumers’ role in the production process. Consumers have become creative and content producers, without which these web 2.0 platforms (such as eBay, Facebook, Youtube, Second Life, to name a few of many) are not viable.
